Espoo City Theatre – The International Theatre of Finland
The International Theatre of Finland was founded in 1988 and is the only adult-orientated professional theatre in Espoo.
The theatre has two venues in the Tapiola area of Espoo. They are located about 1 km apart, roughly 10 km from the centre of Helsinki. Remember to check the venue from your ticket!
The theatre’s programme is based on its own productions and both domestic and international guest performances. Since the theatre was founded it has hosted performances from over 30 countries. Our closest partners are Sweden and Estonia, and we try to import at least one production per year from both countries. International guest performances are usually subtitled into Finnish.
The theatre has two venues in the Tapiola: Revontuli Hall mainly presents the theatre’s own productions. Louhi Hall at Espoo Cultural Centre hosts domestic and international guest performances.
