***
"Gesamtkunstwerk" is a humorous and intelligent play by Paavo Piik that exemplifies how different arts (music, theatre, dance, film, literature, visual arts) affect people. A comedy of art or an artful comedy, the performance will give answers to questions like: What song was used to torture inmates in Guantanamo? Why tourists faint when visiting Firenze? Who was the first pop star in Europe?
„What makes the performance stand above others, is its thought provoking wittiness and joyful acting energy." (Jaak Allik, grand old man of Estonian theatre criticism)
"Musical, gripping and educational!" (A student from the 10th grade of Gustav Adolf High School)
Actress Teele Pärn won the Estonian Theatre's annual actress award for her roles in 2019 (including Gesamtkunstwerk). The play (text) was nominated for Estonian Cultural Endownment's prize in 2020.
The guest performance by Kinoteater (Estonia) is part of Estonian Theatre Week / Espoo City Theatre.
