Museum path KULPS! -visit

The Finnish Toy Museum - Näyttelykeskus WeeGee, Ahertajantie 5

On this visit we take a look at the history of childhood through tricky riddles and fun crafting. The visit includes the guided tour Museum path and the workshop The world’s thinnest horse. Groups of over 15 children are divided in two, so that one half is on the tour while the other is in the workshop, and then they switch. Length 1,5 h.

The Museum path tour is full of playful puzzlement for the students. Tricky riddles guide the children into the museum’s toy collection with their answers, and at the same time we learn about childhood, toys and play in past times. Length 45 min.

In the workshop The world’s thinnest horse we acquaint ourselves with toy with very old traditions that is still in use. The stick horse has been popular for many decades and has today a strong following of enthusiasts. In the workshop the students will get to make their very own cardboard headed stick horse. Length 45 min.

Maximum group size 30 children. Bookings Tue-Fri from 9.00 onwards. Please book at least 2 weeks in advance.
