Guided tour for children and teens
A participatory tour is a great way to introduce kids to art through active involvement and storytelling. Tailored tours can be booked for day-care groups, comprehensive schools, senior secondary schools and other post-comprehensive students. EMMA’s guided tours are also suitable for scouts and other recreational groups.
EMMA’s guided tours for children and teens support the Finnish national curriculum and its goal of providing a well-rounded education. Art is an excellent platform for early education and interdisciplinary learning. EMMA’s tours are designed for children over four.
EMMA’s participatory, experiential tours encourage kids and teens to make discoveries and immerse themselves in the magic of storytelling. The guides use the story-crafting method [Link to story-crafting] and picture reading exercises. The tours for senior comprehensive and secondary-level students are designed to harness the participants’ multi-literacy and interaction skills, self-expression and emotional intelligence. The guides discuss art techniques and art history, as well as generally sharing information on the work done by museums.
Art is a great platform for all kinds of learning – tell us about your special preferences and interests when you book! Please book no later than one week before your planned visit.
