Louhi Club: Teleks

Espoo Cultural Centre - Kulttuuriaukio 2, 02100 Espoo

Having achieved enormous radio success, Finnish pop group Teleks will take the stage at Louhi Club on Sunday, 1 March at 19:00 to celebrate their new album, due out on 19 February.

The members of Teleks are vocalist Pepe Johansson and guitarist-lyricist Markus Koskinen. The band formed in 2001, but Johansson and Koskinen have been making music together since their teens.

Teleks are best known for their giant hits ‘Siivet’, ‘Tuulilasin nurkkaan’, ‘Hiljaa virtaa Vantaa’ and ‘Kotimatkalla’. Many of the songs still receive regular radio play. Mikael Gabriel also used parts of the song ‘Tuulilasin nurkkaan’, which has become a Finnish pop classic, on his successful single ‘Kipua’. In addition to their strong radio background, Teleks have also been successful on Spotify. ‘Tuulilasin nurkkaan’ and ‘Kotimatkalla’ have both gone gold there.

 Doors open at 18:30
