11:30-12 o’clock COMFORT WITH THE HELP OF AUGMENTED REALITY
3DBear’s creative director, designer Pekka Salokannel talks about user engagement in designing spaces with the help of augmented reality.

12-12:30 o’clock CONCRETE ARCHITECTURE
Innovarch architect firm CEO Veppe Erikkilä talks about the past and present of concrete architecture.

12:30-13 o’clock NEW CITY – ON WHO’S TERMS?
Editor-in-chief of Image magazine Niklas Thesslund and lead producer of Lähiöfest Katja Lindroos contemplate the matter of who’s terms cities are developed on.

Art historian and Futuro expert Marko Home talks about the colorful stages of Futuro, and particularly about how Futuro is doing today in different parts of the world.

14:30-15 o’clock PLAYFUL SPACES AND THE DESIGNING OF THEM
Researcher and artist Kati Heljakka and panelists discuss the topic of playful spaces and the designing of them.

15-15:30 o’clock ENCOUNTERS IN CITY SPACES
Design duo Päivi Raivio and Daniel Bumann talk about the rechoreographing of city spaces.

15-16 o’clock FROM A MANUFACTURING HOUSE TO A MUSEUM CENTER
Architect Henna Helander talks about how the Weilin&Göös printing house designed by Aarno Ruusuvuori was converted into the WeeGee Exhibition Center. There will be a short guided tour of WeeGee after the presentation.

11-17 o’clock I LOVE WEEGEE
Confess your love to WeeGee and modern architecture and make your own pin from WeeGee’s historical photographs.

12-16 o’clock WACKY ARRANGEMENTS
Make untypical arrangements in the spirit of Freakebana. You can test your compositional skills and see what is born when you combine a flower, a salt shaker and sunglasses.

12-14 o’clock CROSS-GENERATIONAL PLAYGROUND
Researcher and artist Kati Heljakka creates a cross-generational playground together with participants.

12-13 o’clock MUSEUM HOUR FOR FAMILIES: DESIGN
Experiment and experience during museum hour for families.

12:30-14 o’clock SHAPE THE MUSEUM IN AUGMENTED REALITY
Mark and design Weegee’s loveliest, most exciting, most interesting and most beautiful spots with the help of augmented reality. The workshop is run by 3DBear.

14 O’CLOCK TAPIOLA IN RESIDENT’S STORIES
The Espoo City Museum and Espoo Environmental Design team’s walk introduces Tapiola’s past and present from the perspective on it’s resident’s stories, memories and favorite locations.

13 & 15 O’CLOCK FUTURO 50 YEARS GUIDED TOUR
The story of the utopian plastic house and modernism’s optimistic designs. Experience the Futuro house and Futuromania – Designing Future Living exhibition.

12 O’CLOCK GUIDED TOUR OF THE BRYK & WIRKKALA VISIBLE STORAGE
The guided tour introduces you to the collection based on the personal work archives of Rut Bryk (1916-1999) and Tapio Wirkkala (1915-1985). 

15:30 O’CLOCK WIRKKALA AND SILVER
The guided tour of the Finnish Museum of Horology introduces you to silver objects designed by Tapio Wirkkala.

Stockholms Auktionsverk – auction house expert Dan von Koskull evaluates modern design objects that the audience has brought with them. Bring your home’s design treasure to be valued!
 

The event is organized by EMMA – Espoo Museum of Modern Art, KAMU Espoo City Museum and Finnish Museum of Horology in cooperation with Finnish Toy Museum Hevosenkenkä, Exhibition Centre WeeGee / Espoo Event and Cultural Services, Espoo School of Art and Suomu - the Finnish Association of Design.

The event is part of Helsinki Design Week and the 50th anniversary celebrations of the Futuro house at Exhibition Centre WeeGee.
